Maria and Henrique remain one of my favorite wedding couples of all time. Their wedding was the perfect combination of effortless elegance, something everyone strives for. Maria was a vision in her floral JCrew wedding dress and Henrique was looking dapper in his tux strolling dock the dock laughing with his groomsmen.

For me there is nothing better than shooting an amazing wedding, making great friends with wonderful people and then meeting them again to capture the next milestone in their lives. I love photographing newborns within their first 2 weeks of life. It is such a special time for the baby and even more for the parents. They are high on life, living on little sleep, holding hands and leaping into parenthood. It is a completely new phase of life and amazing to see and capture. Baby Lucia is gorgeous and blessed with amazing parents. Congrats Maria & Henrique!

It's been a gorgeous (and incredibly hot) holiday weekend filled with a wedding, hanging out with our one and only Axl, and now off to shoot Maria and Henrique's brand new baby girl. While we wish we could magically get to all the places in the country we would love to visit this weekend... Ohio, California and Nevada. We are in Florida, life is good and we are happy... especially Axl. If this face doesn't say happy I don't know what does, it's the little things in life right?

If you haven't gotten the memo: succulents rock! They are gorgeous in bouquets, on wedding tables and even on your cake. Here are succulents I shot while in Hawaii on our honeymoon (yes, the full wedding post is coming soon, I promise!). I absolutely love the color palette in this image and think it would translate beautifully to any wedding.

Sometimes what happens after the wedding is even more beautiful.

Andrea and Nils hosted a classy wedding day celebration at Palm Beach's posh Omphoy Hotel. The ceremony was beach side on the hotel terrace and the couple tied the knot under a wooden pagoda. Cocktails followed in the hotel lounge where guests greeted the newlyweds with cheers. Dinner was served upstairs in Michelle Bernstein's restaurant where guests celebrated the night away singing traditional Swedish songs and toasting with Swedish vodka!
Andrea and Nils' wedding was a delight to shoot and the couple looked stunning as you can see from this sneak peek. Enjoy!

I have been bursting at the seams to do a HUGE post about our wedding, the honeymoon and all the details, but... it seems that we are going to have to wait a little longer to give a few magazines a look at the images before they hit the world wide web. Nonetheless, I promise they will come eventually in a blog post the size of Texas! I am in LOVE with the images and Jose, he did such an amazing job and cannot wait to share them all!

After an engagement involving the Cirque de Soleil show Cavalia and a horse kneeling down in a white tent while Sebastien asked for Coraline's hand in marriage, the couple plan to tie the knot in Islamorada, Florida at Pierre's with a destination wedding. The gorgeous couple live in Port Au Prince, Haiti and brought us down to shoot their engagement session. We spent an incredible weekend traveling all over Haiti shooting in the mountains, traveling winding, treacherous dirt roads, through the devastation of Port Au Prince, to their tranquil beach house, their parents hillside homes and all the little towns in between. The country is beautiful and it was truly an experience being there. It was amazing to get a glimpse of what living there is like and seeing first hand the destruction from the earthquake. Thank you so much Coraline and Sebastien for you and your families opening your homes to us, it was an amazing experience that we will never forget.
We can't wait until the wedding!

Alexa and Tom were married on their family farm, Ivanhoe Farms just outside of Chicago. The farm is absolutely stunning and was the perfect backdrop for their elegant affair. The farm has been in their family for generations and is full of stunning antiques and heirlooms, an amazing place for a wedding. Alexa wore a timeless Vera Wang gown while the men wore classic tuxedos. After their small church ceremony the couple released Monarch butterflies before they departed in the family's vintage Rolls Royce. The cocktail hour was poolside accompanied by a trio of strings and floating floral arrangements. Later the guests danced to the TVK Orchestra under a high top tent. It was truly an elegant affair and we had such a blast shooting in such a unique destination with such wonderful families. We can't wait to get back to Chicago!
