I go from loving to not loving you,
From waiting to not waiting for you
My heart moves from cold to fire.'
Last spring we traveled to the Netherlands to speak at the European Wedding Congress. While there we had the opportunity to collaborate with Pearl & Godiva to create 'The Lady in Waiting' editorial during a one day workshop. The editorial is featured in the beautifully printed new Issue 3 of Geraldine Magazine which is on stands now and can also be ordered here.
Thank you to all of our contributors and the European Wedding Congress for bringing us to such a beautiful place...

And now I stand at the gate of the paddock watching you run in an ecstasy of freedom,
knowing you will return to stand quietly, loyally, beside me.' -Pam Brown
After three beautiful days of celebration and on the morning after their wedding (see it here in Part Three + Part Four) Jo and Andrew said goodbye to many of their guests. Having enjoyed an extraordinary bottle of Chåteau Margaux with her father on the first day they arrived, Jo planned a horseback ride through the Ballyfin Estate with her mother following a farewell brunch. From atop a horse they could take in the magnificent spans of countryside and cantered through the sprawling hills together before pausing at the lake for some tea. Overlooking the lake they shared some of their favorite moments from the celebrations before getting back on their horses and preparing to head home.
You can catch up on all of their celebrations here with Part One, Part Two, Part Three, Part Four and in the Fall Issue of Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine.
From the bottom of our hearts we would like to extend a huge thank you to Jo and Andrew for allowing us the privilege of capturing your celebrations. It was a treat for our eyes and senses and we will cherish it always. To Pearl & Godiva, you truly weaved Jo and Andrew's history, romance and story through your talent and design into each event of the wedding with such thought and artistry - it was unforgettable.

Guests arrived an hour prior to Jo and Andrew's wedding ceremony and were greeted with mulled wine at the door. They were led through the library to the conservatory where the aisle was lined with candles and a tumbling ivy garland. A string quartet played and filled the intimate conservatory as Jo and Andrew exchanged vows.
After the ceremony guests were served champagne and canapés as they explored Ballyfin's many rooms. Jo and Andrew took a quiet moment by the lake before joining their guests to mingle as the sun set. Dinner was served in the ballroom where Pearl & Godiva created the most elegant and romantic of settings. The tables were dressed with hand dyed linens, tapered candles and rich colored autumnal florals while the fire place flickered. Following dinner, guests were asked to join Jo and Andrew on the Portico. Under the stars, each guest held a candle as they watched the couple's first dance creating the most magical of scenes.
Back in the conservatory Jo and Andrew cut their cake as their guests looked on. Champagne and cake was served in the library before guests returned to the ballroom to celebrate and dance the evening away...
Next week I will sharing the last and final post of Jo + Andrew's magical four day wedding in Ireland. You can catch up on all of their celebrations here with Part One, Part Two, Part Three and in the Fall Issue of Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine.

the variations on a nebulous theme woven on a celestial loom.
The next morning Jo and Andrew woke to clear skies and began their wedding day. To honor their last breakfast before marriage Ballyfin served them each their favorite meals on Ballyfin's private china. After getting ready separately they met in the estate's orchard for their first look. Matching the nature of the gardens and orchard it was quiet and intimate, a calm moment before the day's celebrations began.
Shortly thereafter they were taken to the lake where a sprawling king's table had been set for an autumnal picnic with their bridal party and parents. The Italian-style family picnic included artisanal bread, charcuterie, cheeses and figs alongside the champagne, Dom Perignon 2012, a vintage from the year Jo and Andrew began dating. Following the picnic, the bridal party walked through the lush forest for portraits before they headed back to the Ballyfin house to prepare for the wedding ceremony...
Check back next week for Part Four -- the wedding! -- of Jo and Andrew's destination wedding in Ireland and don't miss Part One and Part Two. You can also find this Irish adventure featured in the Fall Issue of Martha Stewart Weddings Magazine which is on stands now!
